That’s not true but Revelstoke would have made a good stand-in for Switzerland. As we were leaving REVY., we got great views of the steep, jagged peaks that literally ring the valley.
We drove south, passing charming expansionist towns ;-), more waterfalls, a few epic mountain peaks and just a “meh” lake.
We passed through customs after a fairly lengthy interrogation and inspection inside our van. We just acted like we had nothing to hide.
Back in the U.S. after 5 weeks in British Columbia, it was odd to think in terms of miles, gallons and dollars.
This SNL skit explains why we’re not on the metric system:
Lake Coeur d’Alene is not only 25 miles long, it also has The World’s Longest Boardwalk. Coincidence?
I think not!
Welcome back to ‘merica! Where we measure liquids in liters and milliliters and pints and quarts and gallons… 😂 A favorite SNL skit.
AMAZING 🤩
