Pamplin Grove
We spent July 5-7 at the Pamplin Grove Community Gathering near Arcata, CA. It’s organized by old friend Richard Salzman, who used to throw memorable parties in Pacific Beach in the 80’s and 90’s. Pamplin Grove is a large campground in an old growth forest, and he reserves the entire place. People sleep anywhere and in any thing they want: car, tent, hammock, teardrop, RV, etc. On Wednesday night Richard grilled a feast that could feed 100. If there were 150 people in camp there were 50 friendly dogs. It was also POTluck! In addition to a wonderful selection of protein, people brought portobello mushrooms, shiitakes, cremini and ones I couldn’t even name but might remember. What a short, fun trip it’s been. 🎶
Sure is beautiful! How great to see old friends and spend time together. I love that you captured Pepper 🐾 in the pano ☺️ Thanks for letting us live vicariously through you 💕
Looks so beautiful up there. Makes me certainly want to make it next year. Great shot of you and Richard.
