After a super fun time in Oakland with Zack and Keita, we drove straight to Bend, Oregon because the temps were almost 100. So we skipped camping at Lake Shasta and Klamath Falls and are not roughing it at all at my friend’s AirBnb in Tumalo, outside of Bend. Frank (my friend) has done an AMAZING remodel of a once garish adobe with green and red tiles. Included in his 20 acre ranch are 3 ponds, a 100 yard golf hole, canoe, kayaks, deck with views of the Three Sisters peaks and more. I am hoping to repay Frank’s generosity by getting people to rent it. If interested send me a text as it’s temporary offline. Today was hot so we did not hike or ride. We saw the Last Blockbuster video store which still rents videos. If you haven’t seen the movie about it you should as it’s very amusing. We also strolled in beautiful Drake Park along the Deschutes River. Tonight we’ll probably watch something on the huge projector screen, which is included in the rental fee. It has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, a jacuzzi on the deck and even a pizza oven, which could probably cook a Thanksgiving turkey. :-)
